R.J. Benninghoff was previously with The Berkeley Kites, who'd released at least four poppy 45s between '67 and '69 on Minaret (a divisional label of SSS). The promo EP 45 proclaims "With a degree in education and a major in medieval history, Benninghoff plays almost all instruments, sings and composes. His music skills exhibit a delightfull (their spelling) fusion of the past and present for universal acceptance by contemporary listeners." Harumph... what you get is literally 'baroque' rock, i.e. covers of classical works on harpsichord in a rock setting. Church Bach, for example, reworks Bach classics with some good wild fuzz guitar
